"GET OUTDOORS" PROGRAM
The national winning youth conservation and leadership program puts emphasis on promoting outdoor heritage through hands-on, community-based initiatives.
The program offers a merit system (similar to the Scouts program) to motivate youth the challenge themselves and their mentors by working towards a popular series of crests and pins.
All initiatives geared towards community involvement can be directly attributed to required community service hours for the OSSD program.
Please note that all costs for the program will be covered by the Club to increase interest and involvement. There are currently ten spaces available. If you know of an interested youth, please contact the club.

In addition, the club will sponsor one youth member between 8 and 18 per year to attend the Get Outdoors Summer Camp in Huntsville. The camper will obtain their PAL and hunting license as well as receiving a Shimano rod and reel combo. Applications are now being accepted for 2012.
